Photo posting limits. Maximum image dimensions: 1000 x 1000
You can post a big photo at 1000 x 1000 and Don't exceed 150dpi, it doesn't help the displayed photo.
Please don't post photos that large unless it really needs to be that large. On long locomotive photos you may have 1000 pixels in length, but only about 400 pixels in height, thats fine. That is why I left it at 1000x1000, instead of the usual 500- x 500. I also know everyone that is in here, so I give you guys more leeway that the public forums do.
If anyone needs a photo sized, email it to me and I'll size it for you.

Other things that might help you with photo scanning;
Sizing software- I am using a free program that came with my scanner it called "Adobe Photoshop Elements", it is very close to the functionality of the full "Photoshop", but its free. If you buy a new scanner you can usually get this free with it in the box.
In 2006 I bought a new "Epson Perfection 4490 Photo" that scans up to 12,800dpi 12,800dpi (!) and it cost me about $300.
It also has a great slide scanning attachment, so its very versatile, & I love it. The software provided with it also works great and its easy to use.
